“In my work I am interested in the formative stages of post adolescence, the loss of innocence and the type of influential and misguiding roll models that are examples for young people to aspire to in this dripping with rank consumerist western society that we live and breathe.
Superheroes allow me to explore ideas of godliness, corruption and pain. I use Superman to represent god or a cop and Darth Vader to symbolize the devil or a cop. It is what it is. It’s always been like this I presume – history repeating itself in a new form.
I guess you could call it art, you could also call it sport or religion. I’m not trying to change the world. I’m just reacting to a world that is trying to change me.”
